When creating custom portraits, the most important thing is... the model. A woman, a man or a child will forever be immortalized in the decorative frames of the painting. However, few people have enough patience and free time to sit almost still for several hours to pose for a painter. That's why the best solution is a portrait from a photo. However, the photograph that the client will send me should be chosen by him after a long moment of consideration. It is worth reviewing your photos (or photos of a loved one whom you want to order a portrait) and choosing a few that you like the most. Photographs in which we not only look attractive, but also depict a moment that is important to us. I like it when clients send me several photos of themselves, showing different facial expressions and silhouettes from different perspectives. Thanks to this, I can perfectly reflect their character on canvas. By painting based on several photos provided to me, I am sure that I will perfectly recreate their smile, squinted eyes or characteristic mole on the cheek. It is worth noting right away that we want, for example, a portrait with a smile or a slightly more nostalgic one, showing us in a pensive or dreamy situation. A custom portrait can be either black and white, sepia tones or showing the entire range of colors. It all depends on the will of the client.
