Why a portrait?

   It is a souvenir for life, more durable than a photo, unique. I can capture a memory or a loved one that is important to you on canvas. In the past, a commissioned portrait was reserved only for rulers or aristocrats. Nowadays, anyone can have such a souvenir. It can be a colorful oil portrait, sepia, gray and white or sketched. Regardless of the technique, a portrait of you or someone close to you will bring out the most important and beautiful features. A distinctive twinkle in your eye? Dimples in your cheeks when you smile? My brush will capture this beautiful moment on the canvas forever.

   Thanks to the great popularity of cameras, even those in mobile phones, each of us has lots of photos. Folders with photos occupy our computer, but few people develop them, put them in albums and have their memories in such a "physical" form. form. A portrait that will hang on the wall or be given as a gift is completely different. It cannot be accidentally deleted from the disk and lose a beautiful memory. This is a commissioned portrait, so it is unique and one of a kind, cannot be reproduced. This is not a mass-printed shop graphic or a painting purchased at a local supermarket. The portrait hanging on the wall tells the story of you and your family and shows how special and unique you are.

    I create a portrait from a photo provided to me by the client. Thanks to this, the person being portrayed does not have to spend several hours still and, in addition, chooses the photo themselves, which gives them comfort and certainty that they look the way they like best. Each new face to paint is a new and exciting challenge for me. Each face is a separate story into which I put my whole heart.
